To make a connection with another member, first search out the member you want to connect with. There are a couple of ways you can do this.

On the "home" tab you can scroll to the bottom and find a list of new member. Click on one of the names and you can request a connection. This is a great way to make new members feel welcome. The more friends new members make, the more contacts they have to help make their homeschool a success and yours too when you connect with them.

To make a connection with a new member you simply click on the "community" tab and click on "members." Here you'll find a list of all the members of the HomeEducator LinkUp. To make a connection, select the member you want to connect with and click on their name. You'll be taken to the member's profile page.

Mouseover on connections and the "request a connection" link will appear. Click on it to request a connection. When you request a connection you'll have the opportunity to send a message with the connection request. This is a great place to mention your real name if you know the member you're trying to make a connection with.
