Information That is Stored on the Online Linkup Network

a. Personally Identifiable Information
 When this Privacy Policy uses the term "personally identifiable information," we mean information that identifies a particular individual, such as the individual's name, postal address and e-mail addres. Personally identifiable information is sometimes referred to in this Privacy Policy as "Personal Information."

 The only Personally Identifiable Information that Online LinkUp requires is a valid e-mail address.

Members of the Online LinkUp Network have the ability to optionally enter additional Personal Information such as name and address.  Members can control if this information is viewable only by their friends or by the public. If a member desires to keep their Personal Information private, it should not be entered into this LinkUp community web site.

None of your Personal Information will be sold or provided to any 3rd party without your expressed consent.

Online LinkUp will only use e-mail addresses to communicate with members regarding the use of  our sites. Members can optionally choose to allow carefully screened partners of Online LinkUp to send them information on products and services we believe will be of interest to our members.

b. Aggregate Information
Our website collects some non-personal information about you using clickstream technology, so it may not be readily apparent to you that it is being collected. For instance, when you come to our site your IP address is collected.
In addition a member may enter information about themselves that does not personally identify themselves such as hobbies, specialties, experience and education. Entering this information helps members connect with other members.
Members can control if this information is viewable only by their friends or by the public. If a member desires to keep this private, it should not be entered in LinkUp community web site.
We use aggregate information from the site in a manner that does not personally identify any individual. We use aggregate information to make our sites more interesting and useful to you. We also track the pages or documents accessed within our site. This information is collected for improving system performance.  We do not combine this type of information with personally identifiable information.

Public Information:
Online LinkUp provides the ability to members to interact publicly in Forums, Articles and News. All information posted by you in these areas is considered to be public information for all visitors of the site. In addition the username, and avatar you select to represent you on the site and the date you became a members of the site is also considered to be public information for all visitors of the site.

Information We Share with Others

We contract with other companies to provide certain services (for example: marketing, public relations, website developers) to Online LinkUp Corporation. In some instances, these contractors may have access to personally identifiable information but they are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the information and to use it only for purposes of carrying out Online LinkUp business.
These companies are prohibited by contract from using this information for their own marketing purposes or from sharing this information with anyone other than Online LinkUp.
